Sapporo Station is the main transport hub in the city of Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture. This hub provides essential access all around the city, by bus, trains, trams, taxi’s and even a bicycle hire. The history of the station dates back to the late 1800’s. The original station building has been restored and is maintained to this day at the Historic Village of Sapporo in the east of the city. The current station building has been used since 2003. 

One notable attraction of Sapporo Station (besides being a vital transport link) is the JR Tower. The JR Tower is the tallest building in Hokkaido at a height of 173 meters. Inside, you can find a department store, cinema, the JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, and an observation deck known as JR Tower Observatory T38.

JR Tower Observatory T38, or T38 is an observation deck on the top floor, floor 38 of the JR Tower. The view from T38 is unmatched by anything in the city, offering stunning day and night time views of the city of Sapporo. Visitors can enjoy the views of the city with food from the café found within the Observatory, serving up light, savory and sweet dishes.
