Tottori Sand Dunes

Tottori Prefecture is located in the Chugoku region on the island of Honshu. It is among the smallest prefectures both in size, and in population, taking 41st place in size, and last in population. 

Tottori is known mainly for it’s agriculture, as most of its products are pears, yams, and watermelon. 

The prefecture is situated along the coast, and there are numerous excellent beachs to visit, making it a popular summer destination.
