Kawaguchiko Tenjoyama Park, also known as the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway,  is one of the most popular sightseeing destinations in the Lake Kawaguchi area, offering spectacular views of Mount Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi, and the surrounding Fuji Five Lakes region.

To access the park, you can take the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway as it ascends 400 meters to Kawaguchiko Tenjoyama Park summit. The ropeway cabins are themed around the “Kachi Kachi Yama folk tale, a traditional Japanese story about a clever rabbit and a mischievous raccoon. You’ll find several rabbit and racoon statues located around the park area. As you ascend, you’ll hear the story narrated in Japanese and English. While purchasing a return ticket is the most popular way to ascend the hillside, you can purchase a one-way ticket and hike down the mountain, taking appoximately 30 minutes.
