Fuji-Q Highland is an amusement park in Fujiyoshida city. Situated in the Fuji Five Lakes region, the park is renowned for stunning views of Mount Fuji throughout the day. On clear mornings, the iconic mountain provides a scenic backdrop to the roller coasters and other rides. As of 2026, there are 5 roller coasters, and several gentle rides.
The park’s signature rides have earned international recognition. FUJIYAMA, once the world’s tallest roller coaster, remains one of Japan’s most iconic rides, soaring 79 metres above the ground before reaching speeds of 130 km/h. Eejanaika pushes thrills even further with rotating seats that flip riders independently of the track, creating one of the world’s most intense roller coaster experiences. Meanwhile, Takabisha is famous for its heart-stopping 121-degree beyond-vertical drop, while the newer ZOKKON places riders on motorcycle-style seats for a high-speed launch through twists and turns.
Because Fuji-Q Highland is in a remote area, many visitors often spend the night in Fujiyoshida, or Fujikawaguchi, and see the many other sites of the area, such as Oshino Hakkai, and the Fuji Five Lakes.
